Nov 25th, my earliest weather memory. Dad, older brother and I watched the trees getting thrashed from our NNJ back porch. When some tops/branches broke, Dad said it was time to go inside. That and the howling NW gales of 12/31/62 (back side of the BGR blizzard) are the strongest winds I've experienced. Farther west PA, WV) snowfall records were being set. RA stopped here about 7 AM, just clouds and breezes (<20 mph) since then.

aside from that last SEA drive, the defense was pretty amazing.

Maybe another 2” of rain coming?

39 here this morning and surprisingly enough there was a few patches of frost on the roofs of houses on the north side. One of the earliest ones I remember around here.

My station crapped out a few weeks ago and I just swapped it with a new one. Couldn’t be easier to set up. Install batteries, plug in display, set date/time.

Spent several hours on cleanup . What a disaster of limbs and leaves . Too wet to mow but was able to do some blowing . Ran has finally started up

Really need gusts of hurricane force to cause widespread problems, leafed or not. Isais has gusts to 80 mph and that kinda seemed like the threshold for widespread outages. Even then it was only 50% of customers on the island

Yeah , that arc of moisture coming in looks like it’ll move overhead here as well. Another heavy shower pushing through here now. Had about a 30min respite.

Been steady rain the last 3 hoyes or so. Winds are almost non-existent.

It's moved inland and is spinning over south Jersey. Am now up to 1.89" for the day (2.54" 2-day, 8.26" for the month). Temp is 62 with dp 61.

1. The best hope for 2027-8 might be for it to be like 3 of these 8 analogs and not be La Niña for the NE: 1878-9: near to AN snow 1966-7: well AN snow 1992-3: BN to AN snow 2. Regarding the snow for the 5 that did become LN, not good: 1889-90: BN 1973-4: NN 1983-4: BN 1998-9: BN 2016-7: MBN

3.08” so far in my PWS which has trees to the NE so the reading is definitely a bit low. Another big time rain event, so many this year.
