That being said, gradient patterns in recent years have been setting up just north of NYC. We haven’t been near a gradient pattern jackpot zone since February 2014 and 1994. The WAR amps just enough on the storm days and the highs move east of New England. This is what the current models runs are showing for early December.

I had a blast putting up Christmas lights all afternoon in SN and bursts of +SN. I measured 6.9" at 11 PM (EST), with light snow still falling, but must have had some mixing issues after midnight, causing some melting/compaction as there was only 5.5" at 7 AM CoCoRaHS measure. All in all, a good storm to track with nice results. On to another possible 2-4 tomorrow night!

I love the sights and sounds of the first snow of the season. I like when it softens and smooths the forest floor and opens up the sightlines through the trees. I also like that I work for myself and can hang out in the yard and listen to the neighborhood get quiet, with the occasional sounds of people that don't have that opportunity sliding into each other because: summer tires This time I might even be able to do a daytime Jebwalk and watch the show.
