Is that Biblical or Blizzard. Maybe both.

I mean, a fail could be that it hit the Carolinas and misses it.
-
The fail scenario here is probably a Boxing Day type situation.

Yeah, I am in withdrawal too, I'll do anything for the next storm tracking fix! I would hate if there were some super rare triple phaser and we completely miss out, but I'd also be ok with getting fringed... probably. I will say though the upcoming cold and every other day light refreshers do help take the edge off a little bit. -
I feel like some of these snowfall reports, especially public ones may be too high and too low. A lot of drifting took place. I have spots in my yard with drifts knee deep, and spots with bare ground.

Truthfully it depends on how much I want to sleep and how much snow is blowing, and if it's different precipitation types. I truthfully try to shoot for 3 hours that are lined up exactly with the main model times because I'm a data junkie. But I did have almost exactly the same as that trained spotter 3 miles from my house when he did his report Sent from my SM-S731U using Tapatalk -

Hey, nitpick away...yesterday's storm had nitpicking things tbat messed with it, lol Now I will say that the previous WeatherNext image somebody shared was even further off-shore...so this was a decent step forward, imo
-
So.. we can fail but we can also maybe not. Sounds about right

I am good friends with Dave Robinson, the NJ State Climatologist. He, along with several other state climatologists reached a consensus on the measuring protocol about 20 years ago. Together, the protocol was adopted by the NWS and should be the protocol used for all NWS-related measurements for snow/sleet. The correct answer to how frequently to clear the snow board is every 6 hours. Anything more often than that, as you can see, will inflate the total progressively higher as you continue to clear the board more frequently. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone taking hourly readings. (I'm not picking on you. It's just that I am certain I know how to do the snowboard measurement since I've been doing it that way (to the best of my ability) ever since. There are additional steps that are to be taken when there is the introduction of sleet. -
We absolutely can fail with this, but this seems like something we can reel in.

Yeah...we're just having fun with the eye-candy stuff here but still... jesus h christ with that thing. 20-30 with that look? no... the wind would scour it all as well as roofs trees and infrastructure. That's is a hyper bomb. 962 getting captured? That's a Cat 3 hurricane in a blizzard. Unlikely to succeed reality but it sure is fun, huh! -
