This drought is showing some serious staying power. I have a bad feeling about this summer. The next couple of weeks look dry as well

Yesterday was very close to a US all time record. Off by a few degrees on both the day of high temperature and the prior day temperature. -
People act as though a -NAO is a guarantee for colder weather in the East when it’s not, just as a +NAO does not guarantee warmth either.
-
winter's over anyway as well
-
Monday is looking interesting. We’re going to be in the warm sector of an incredibly dynamic storm system. Would not be shocked for the severe weather outlook to continue its uptick in the coming days.
-
RDU got to freezing, 32
-
Hit 30 this morning with a surprisingly heavy frost for that temp. Next week may zap some of the early tree growth.
-
I think the area between Columbia SC and Charleston mid summer might be the worst place to be. You get temps in the 100s plus crippling humidity
-
45 degrees but doesn't feel like it. Why does a south wind feel so damn cold?
-
yeah let's get some wind damage, much more interesting than 1" of glop that melts as it falls
-
i’m surprised we haven’t seen see some random op run keep the main wave more consolidated as it digs, and close it off further south as it goes negative tilt, leading to a ghd1 level solution further south. i saw a few ens previously do that a day or two ago, but wanted to see the lolz from an op.

The old East Granby reports are definitely BDL. At least most of them are I’d think of not all of them. There wasn’t an active coop there either.

62MPH gust at my house earlier this morning.
-
ahead of the storm in the northeast we had arctic cold, those are days long past by for mid march.
-
+SN moving thru from an intense snow band. Vis down to 1-2 blocks with breezy winds. This will up the snow total for this system.
-
Don't go outside unless you want your limbs or even your head ripped off
-
a mildly negative NAO in late March won't do much for SNE let alone NYC
