  1. Past hour
  2. I don't really care if it's fantasy or real, I just like to see models of snow piling up. It used to happen!
  3. On a different note, regarding what's "on topic" in the New England forum, have never posted much, just read and post OBS usually. I have more time and I am about to have to go back to "read only" mode, with work again, and a move to a new apartment next month. Th is mainly for my own edification. But, apparently, when a weather system offshore will affect the coast of New England, e.g., wind, coastal erosion, and concomitant flooding, perhaps rain and snow squalls, is it not appropriate to post "waves coming," or similar, since I was born and raised in coastal New England, and I am far from the only 100 times per tear, mostly winter, surfer (and snowboarder) here? Oh, it's not about snowmobiles or lawns. I see. I will keep it to my surf and snowboard forums then. Good to know!
  4. December is going to rock.... WB latest EPS control....
  5. Arapahoe Basin opens tomorrow
  6. Anyone have any links to weather stations or web cams in Jamaica? Island wide rainfall gauge network? Or wind speed? Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk
  7. Melissa is likely currently in or starting RI now.
  8. The punishment they will face will be tomorrow- when they get outcoached by the Bears lol. Monken again will refuse to stick with Henry the the run game-this time against a defense that is awful against the run, and will instead try to make Huntley into Dan Marino.
  9. The return of the elusive Nor'easter. Drought buster or bust? BUST lol
  10. Why would Allegheny County get another frost advisory? It went down to 33 earlier this month, isn't that frost levels?
  11. Lowest SLP on record Jamaica 958 Charlie followed by 960 Gilbert.
  12. Today
  13. Jamaica's major hurricane history is not that extensive. Since 1900, only 4 major hurricanes have made a direct hit on the island: Unnamed 1903 (Cat 3 / 105kt) Unnamed 1912 (Cat 3 / 100kt) Charlie 1951 (Cat 3 / 110kt) Gilbert 1988 (Cat 4 / 115kt) Additionally, the 1903 hurricane, Charlie, and Gilbert all cut through the island from east to west relatively quickly. The 1912 hurricane hit the western tip. So, Melissa's forecast intensity (strong Cat 4 or Cat 5), slow forward speed, and angle of approach all combine to make this a highly unusual situation.
  14. I'd be a little surprised if they face any punishment. This sounds nore like a dumb oversight than anything intentional.
  15. Good. It will keep my candy bowl filled for myself now LOL

  17. True but not likely to happen. 18z already looks different
  18. Doesn’t it pretty much always strengthen in November as we head into Winter?
  19. Count is now 13 5 3 and likely to reach 13 5 4 by Sunday or Monday. These potential scores and alternates for a 14th named storm later are now in the table above.
  20. All indications are that the SPV is going to strengthen in November right now
  21. Low 46, high 68. Another beautiful fall day here.
  22. it wouldn't take much on that 18z ICON run to make things a bit more interesting with Melissa
  23. In 1993, IAD had a freeze on October 1. I was working a temp job in a building on Avion Parkway right next to the airport, and all the grass was white with frost.
