Seems like tomorrow is going to be a near repeat of last Friday. Mild morning, front blows through, temps crash and wind ramps up. I just hope there's not as many tree branch and powerline problems. I encountered a few road closures and subsequent detours on my last two water loads of the day.

I don’t know I think the pattern looks decent. The only thing I might be picky about is that late bloomers might be almost too late if that ridge is too far east over the plains versus the Rockies. But beyond that the EPO strengthens, and I think it looks good overall.

What more can you ask from this other than the fact that it's three weeks out? Strong signal for an -EPO with a trace of +PNA in there, then we have the high latitude blocking with some decent -AO/-NAO signals (could be stronger) also with a hint of an SE ridge to prevent suppression. The cold air is THERE in Canada as well. Jan 15-Feb 1 y'all. I'm telling you we're getting something then.

Not expecting much but temperatures have definitely come in under forecast so far. After a high of 25.3 we’re down to 24.3/21. It’s a rare time where I’m running colder than KSLK which is at 27 currently. Again not expecting much but we’ll see how I fare in my first icing event.

This year? They don't deserve it. I fully expect them to embarrass themselves at home again if we get in (and lead to Harbaugh's removal) Deep issues like this don't just go away!

My Grandfather was an ice man he would deliver ice to homes and businesses ( kinda like what Ralph and Alice had on the honeymooners they had an ice box ) long before refrigerators but anyways he would tell me stories of how the water between Manhattan and Jersey would freeze,,,,,,,it would freeze so solid that they had horses pulling wagons across from one side to the other,,,,,I wish I had some pictures,,,,,,anyway my Dad would tell me that he could remember from when he was a young kid ( born 1930 ) that water being frozen from New York to Jersey,,,,,what a time and sight that must have been
