  1. Past hour
  2. Outscored 17-6 on home ice (I forgot about the San Jose fiasco). sorry for the off topic everyone - but at least this is a friendly off-topic banter..... hoy vey to the last 48 hours in here!!!!!
  3. One of the best storms ever. I was like a little kid during that storm. I think we had thunder and lightning as well. It was truly insane.
  4. There are some really damn good winters in that list
  5. Agree on all. Im thinking they fire Drury and make Sully GM/coach. They should trade Shesty to a win-now team for a nice haul. The Rangers are going to have 39 million in cap room this off season - which is one the biggest cap room budget in the league. Time for some shrewd managing!!! (Not Drury forte!!!)
  6. Some of theory has merit. It’s however just one factor among many. For those that like snow I personally still feel confident that for most of New England that this season will be better than the last few. Doesn’t mean it will be much better. The long range models continue to have a favorable pattern at 500mb look overall for the winter months. We just need some luck, which has also been lacking last new winters.
  7. Revisiting the above post now that some time has passed. The general idea about being cautious about outlier model runs that lack support holds. Today's 12z run of the GFS: The National Blend of Models shows NYC's temperatures falling through the 50s during the showers/rain. That's somewhat warmer than previously shown on the guidance, but 40s remains a possibility. The outlier notion of an accumulating snowstorm is not plausible.
  8. First of the season. High end is 3", lol. Who's ready for a season of heartbreak?
  9. 2013 was an all timer here as as far as snowfall..close to 3ft. It was incredible. Crazy part, those amounts were supposed to be out east…but the crazy band of 6”/hr set up right here….what a raging beotch that storm was. It was astounding.
  10. I certainly like colder weather but ill never hate a day like today in early November. Spectacular
  11. I think they've been shut out 4 times at home so far? That's nuts. Lots of internal turmoil within the organization...but they may have to do a bit of re-tooling themselves. They have some young talent in Hartford, but not many who are probably ready to step in and be a big contributor right away. They going to waste Igor
  12. My favorite was probably Nemo in 2013 because of the extreme winds we had with that one, even a distance from the coast where I live. January 2022 and 2005 produced way more snow than Nemo but the winds weren't nearly as impressive. It's the only blizzard that we've lost power for a significant amount of time. It's too bad Nemo hit at night. I would've loved to see that white hurricane during the daytime.
  13. @Sundog this is what the extra tile on the dashboard looks like. Where i have it mounted temp is 62.8, roof sensor where the station is mounted is 64.8
  14. 66 / 47 and another gorgeous fall day - on weekend.
  15. Same way I feel. I gave myself Monday and Tuesday off of work just in case something local is worth chasing. I might hike up to Salamander Rock in the Catoctins for a Monday late afternoon hike just to get a winter vibe.
  16. Today
  17. I've had a shit ton of blizzard warnings over the past 25 years, regardless of the current snow drought we are in. I'd be content with one every few years if it's a whopper
  18. Probably at 50% leaves here now. Some of the more sensitive plants were killed by the freeze this week, but the hardier plants are fine.
  19. I’m looking forward to it. *When* we get the containment breakers, my location tends to do pretty well. It never accumulates but typically some solid flizzard action.
  20. Bruins are surprising. I am Rangers - what a weird team they are .... Best road record and worst home record (I think they've scored a whopping ONE GOAL at home all season!!! WTF?????)
  21. Came here to say that as well. I think we see quite a bit of containment breaking. I just got the Christmas lights up yesterday so I’d kill to see some mood flakes.
  22. I think we get flurries and maybe a snow shower Monday evening with the vort moving over
