  1. Past hour
  2. So I fell snow blowing at 5am trying to keep ahead of the snow! Just home from the ER fractured T12! This is NOT my 1st rodeo- be safe out there!! Northern eastern most Westchester, might be as well be CT, 600’, 27° can’t measure but it’s a sh*t ton!
  3. My delusional 36 inch snow stick at 11:30 am. As always ….
  4. Well one of the good things more often than not when coastal areas get buried is their often isn't much if any old snow cover. I feel as though inland especially when there's like three to five old otg and then they get a biggie folks often just stick the yardstick to the bottom and report that and figure no one will notice.
  5. If you mean by being right, you were 100% wrong, then yes. Good post.
  6. lol. Are temps supporting snow on Fri? My daughter is flying in from SLC.
  7. Subsidence zone filled in but it's pointless arctic sand.
  8. stuff happens with banding. I think BOX stuck to higher amounts even as models shrunk qpf. That was good meteorology.
  9. I will be beyond shocked if they come below that.
  10. Could be a sizable SWFE/redeveloper following week as well
  11. Pictures from my final Jebwalk up in NOVA before I head back south to UVA.
  12. I reckon’ I got 2-3” since the morning measure but I neglected to clean off the board. I did go for storm drive around the neighborhood. Been awhile since I got to do that. Definitely need some clearance to get around. Still snowing.
  13. This is right up there with Boxing Day for me. Eyeballing pictures from my parents house and they look very similar, probably approaching 30 inches.
  14. Don't suffer any recency bias ( or let yourself give into it - ). What just took place was during a quasi relaxed period, in which events at smaller scales, relative to the larger synopsis', are conserved. That pattern out there is compressing again... ie, loses the relaxation, that's going to mean a different reality. S/Ws will look more like this instead
  15. I wonder if my 19 inch bet will pay off today or will I have to wait for the remainder of the week for Central Park
  16. I'm 51 and I've never seen anything like this. It's just relentless. I'm good if it shuts off now
  17. I guess it depends when they measured, I work within walking distance to Sterling NWS/LWX and passed it this morning at 7am - I'd say closer to 1-1.5" but I guess that's kinda splitting hairs.
