  1. Past hour
  2. Just looking at 12z and wow....not gonna lie tho, the Euro AI has me very nervous. @Holston_River_Ramblermentioned yesterday, when it locks in it tends to tick back to the NW ever so slowly..that would put the southern border counties of TN right under the gun for ice not snow. Next 12-24hrs will tell alot for that model.
  3. Looking at the radar drying out here in Western CT, I bet we underperform with this last wave. 1-2 inches hopefully, but still no complaints, looks and feels like winter out there. After the last burst of snow, our total for the first round was 1.7". Storm total, 6.1"... Good luck out to the east, hopefully an overperformer coming your way
  4. Central Park already has a half and inch and is forecasted to get 1 to 3 more.
  5. 20 looks like a Washington-Jefferson blizzard redux...yes please Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  6. Here’s AIFS ensembles (which has been cleaning up in verification). MSLP mean is slightly south of the op aifs low position, by maybe 50 miles. But better clustering to the NW of the mean position
  7. Columbia 3pm: some very tiny flakes in the air now. Temp down in last hour from 35.3 to 34.4.
  8. Great explanation. I agree with localized exceptions, but more spread out throughout the area. A blossoming precious shield from coastal development usually has some nice localized banding.
  9. The Euro would be a devastating ice storm from Ark to SC

  11. The Cooks ball was a catch. Caught, controlled, and knee down. It was rigged 100%
  12. This turned out to be a nice little event IMBY. The snow fell at a decent rate for around an hour. This, along with the temperature quickly dropping below freezing, allowed for a light accumulation. Currently sitting at 31.6°/29.3°.
  13. You’re actually saying this to me? Just saying what it shows. Could see it coming this morning. Now I’m just hoping I can get solidly into my 2-4 call.
  14. Underground forecast has updated since the 12z runs for MBY. lol .
  15. How’s everyone feeling this afternoon? It’s going to snow peeps! I feel pretty confident in that. I’d even put down money in Vegas on it. Except, of course, I don’t gamble. I’d rather spend $’s on pre-gaming HH 18z GooFus runs at Sapwood instead. .
  16. Flurries starting Magnolia Delaware. Weather system is showing chance of thunder. Winds have also picked up out of the NE.
  17. Very light snow has begun to fall here. Temp is 34.
  18. The ens means like a more Northerly track. Under the hood it seems there are a few members NW of us, a few big dogs in our region, and a cluster of weaker systems to the South...so the means could be skewed. Regardless, should make for a fun week of tracking. Glad I took vacation this week!
