Augdewst 2026: Summer's Last Stand
Brewbeer replied to Prismshine Productions's topic in New England
I'm its first and only owner, I bought it new in early 2003 from a Ford dealership in Brookfield Mass, they had two 2002s left on the lot and I picked it up for $13,900. It has just under 87k and I put less than 1,000 miles a year on it. it's never been back to a Ford dealer -

We bought a 2005 F150 back in 2009. Spent most of the time with it loading and moving wood. All my free time was with a saw and a splitter. Fun memories. Miss the truck. -
Heck yeah.

Rain managed to hold off so we could get the trim boards done. Re-shingling slated to being mid-week. -

Back when Fords were decent. Loved my 92 explorer though it rotted through by 140k. Also my 08 escape lasted 200k until tranny went in 2022...very low maintenance -

Mine had 240k before it reached its last leg. -
I had a 1997 with 189,000 miles. Good truck for a couple years. Gave it to the guy in the shorts and he used it for a couple more.

Yeah, that’s fair for sure. It’s not ideal, ha. That CON one is even better than BTV, damn. 31” at almost +9. Looks like a lot of low diurnal swing days around freezing after an early month torch.

I don't think -PNA is an El Nino pattern. You are getting randomness because September is the weakest month of the year for ENSO correlation across the Pacific-North America region

As a pure snow and cold weenie, what benchmarks should we be looking for and when should they start to emerge that would indicate this could be a legit winter?

Depends on how we get to +4… we’ve had some luck recently with that because it never radiates all month and its like +5 because mins average 18F instead of 11F. We’ve had some whopper departures though recently that come out passable. BTV had measurable snowfall on 17 days in Jan 2023, 19.9” fell (average of 17.4”)… with a +8.3 departure . Every day was like 35/25 which is like +12.
