  1. Past hour
  2. First of the season. High end is 3", lol. Who's ready for a season of heartbreak?
  3. 2013 was an all timer here as as far as snowfall..close to 3ft. It was incredible. Crazy part, those amounts were supposed to be out east…but the crazy band of 6”/hr set up right here….what a raging beotch that storm was. It was astounding.
  4. I certainly like colder weather but ill never hate a day like today in early November. Spectacular
  5. I think they've been shut out 4 times at home so far? That's nuts. Lots of internal turmoil within the organization...but they may have to do a bit of re-tooling themselves. They have some young talent in Hartford, but not many who are probably ready to step in and be a big contributor right away. They going to waste Igor
  6. My favorite was probably Nemo in 2013 because of the extreme winds we had with that one, even a distance from the coast where I live. January 2022 and 2005 produced way more snow than Nemo but the winds weren't nearly as impressive. It's the only blizzard that we've lost power for a significant amount of time. It's too bad Nemo hit at night. I would've loved to see that white hurricane during the daytime.
  7. @Sundog this is what the extra tile on the dashboard looks like. Where i have it mounted temp is 62.8, roof sensor where the station is mounted is 64.8
  8. 66 / 47 and another gorgeous fall day - on weekend.
  9. Same way I feel. I gave myself Monday and Tuesday off of work just in case something local is worth chasing. I might hike up to Salamander Rock in the Catoctins for a Monday late afternoon hike just to get a winter vibe.
  10. I've had a shit ton of blizzard warnings over the past 25 years, regardless of the current snow drought we are in. I'd be content with one every few years if it's a whopper
  11. Probably at 50% leaves here now. Some of the more sensitive plants were killed by the freeze this week, but the hardier plants are fine.
  12. I’m looking forward to it. *When* we get the containment breakers, my location tends to do pretty well. It never accumulates but typically some solid flizzard action.
  13. Bruins are surprising. I am Rangers - what a weird team they are .... Best road record and worst home record (I think they've scored a whopping ONE GOAL at home all season!!! WTF?????)
  14. Came here to say that as well. I think we see quite a bit of containment breaking. I just got the Christmas lights up yesterday so I’d kill to see some mood flakes.
  15. I think we get flurries and maybe a snow shower Monday evening with the vort moving over
  16. It's 63 here ... What little wind is actually slacked off and even though the sun's angle is pretty ablate ( OH, heh...right, today enters the solar minimum - for the next 91.25 days until we exit Feb 8-10th) it feels quite warm. After a few days of 50/27, this feels more balmy than it is ? adding to it anyway
  17. Finally having to the Euro. Euro has done well this week.
  18. Thanks! Now to remember to look daily.....
  19. That should take off the rest of the leaves that are left on trees here. They are like 85% empty as of now.
  20. I liked seeing this posted yesterday in the Mid Atlantic region thread.
  21. Today
  22. Vegetable garden finally got finished off early Friday morning with the low temp getting down to 28 here.
  23. I don't think that you are going to find anything more authoritative than the USGS. I went to the search page and lowered the threshold to an effectively imperceptible 1.5 magnitude, and the only one that shows up in the last month is the 2.5 on 10/27 near Columbia, MD. https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/search/ Welcome!
