I was lucky the train came through Tamaqua around 11am, before peak heating, but it was still plenty hot. There were a handful of heat emergencies here, though, too. -
100.9. for some weird reason our house didn’t get as warm as it did yesterday. i’m happy though lol.

That is odd it was lower than I thought it would be for the day. We got to 102.5 temp at 15:39 today.

Today makes 23.

103 imby today. Still 92. F that.
-
I guess the recent rains have tamed the RDU sensor, high of “only” 98.1 today
-
Same issue for me; up to 79 with upstairs unit running. downstairs unit doing fine - lowering that temp to help it keep up.

Worcester, PA. peaked at my house 100.4. Heat index of 115. Went to see the Big Boy train in Linfield, PA. Really cool to see, but unofficial temp was 104 at that location, Really really hot, humid, miserable conditions. Mass Casualty Incident declared in Berks County due to the crowds gathered for the train. Don't' know any details, but based on what I saw (and felt to some extent) where I was in Montgomery County - heat exhaustion, fainting, etc. had to be some of the calls. Train was running about 1 hr late which made matters worse. Waited to take pictures only to get the message "Phone is too hot for the camera to work". The heat kind of made a memorable event of the train more memorable. -
This is how it was on upper level of my split level with the short attic . Last fall I put 14” blown insulation in and new gables. Today I was able to maintain 75 upstairs with AC on for 20-25 minutes, off for 7/8 and back on 20-25. What were others settings and time frames today? Thanks

True and my lows are routinely higher than most....ridge vs valley microclimates in this area.
