Yeah. Upton pretty much just canceled all the the frost warnings for the coast here in CT...

Frost coverage at the coast, where the growing season remains in effect, looks to be patchy at this time.

Too early/prerequisite challenged ... but indian summer like.

The trick will be, 'does the anticyclone get under our latitude?'  Since mid to late August actually, these powerhouse high pressure nodes have been moving either bodily overhead of E thru Ontario, placing us persistently in a highly uncoupled lower troposphere relative to mid level soundings.

We've been getting frost if not freezes under 576 dm heights - anomalous combination of metrics.   Very much so...  We've had hyper proficient RAD events as of late, which is an interesting met phenomenon probably under the nose of most people's awareness.  It feels like we're getting a normal autumn progression - though with modest positive biases, but it's kind of been lying?  so to speak.

27 F under while this; is just another example in many

Ha!

well I'm not part of that fake stuff.   Temperature is temperature...

I'm more focusing in on the unusual nature in which we're getting a sensible autumn out of a deep summer sky - to put it somewhat poetically.   This morning the hgts are/were 582 dm ... 27 at the surface.   It's been happening a lot since late summer, too.  Maybe not that extreme but it's been unbalanced on the whole.

If that's coincident with some discussion point than it's unintended.

Oddly satisfying way of explaining it, ha.

it's a touch darker than the original, there's some orange peel and some of the new-to-old-transitions are visible but all-in-all not bad for bondo

Wow Spokane….get ready for a lot of rain..yuck.

Check your climo.  They’re east of the mountains and don’t get much rain or snow but they do get both.  About as much snow as Boston but a tad colder.

Bro…your posts don’t make any fucking sense?   I love ya…but you sound like you don’t live in SNE?  Or haven’t lived here for any length of time.

Foliage Color has been exceptional.  Leaves are now falling like snow here. We’ve had at least 5 frosts, and two freezes.

I mean, maybe you’re just trying to make conversation….and that’s cool.  But if you’re serious, you sound like you’re f’n bombed!

But maybe at 1000ft…it’s a whole different world from the rest of us?

Yea, maybe you missed it…but I did say I stood corrected.  I was assuming that Spokane was the typical Pacific Northwest…which was cool and moist and overcast.  But I was wrong I guess. My mistake.

And if they get as much snow as most of us…that’s not too shabby. Good for them.
