     Yeah, it's pretty clear that it won't be the 3-5 day event that guidance had been showing, but most of us should still get a nice soaking between now and Wednesday morning.  (And there could even be a backdoor sneak attack from the coastal on Saturday if you want to buy into the ECMWF.)

You are going to need one if you live in the Mid Atlantic or the Southeast. Virginia, DMV Region, the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky and possibly Louisiana and Missouri.

Texas is safely well west of The Plume and this is an extreme example of an east-based El Nino.

Austin will get normal precip thru May 2027. That is to say, occasional drizzles and light rains and cold as shyte come Feb maybe a light icing.

But the Southeast and Mid Atlantic - Do NOT be living near creeks and rivers. They will flood, some will be floods the likes of which no one can remember. Get and ark or build an ark. You're gonna need it!
