Are people still working on a way to try and dim the sun?  If I think of any other ways we can "cool" the planet I'll post them.

Continuing the shift away from fossil fuels and deforestation are easy steps. Installing rooftop solar is something each of us can do. Leasing an electric car. We can all do our part. Sure, no single person can change it themselves, just like no single soldier can win a war.

storms are beginning to develop over central and north jersey and points to the southwest moving northeast

A pretty good cell popped up pretty much right on top of me. Heavy downpour but lasted only a few minutes. Looks like we'll see more later with stuff developing to the southwest as you said.

took less them 10 minutes for that too pop thats why these type of storms are dangerous especially if you are walking outside and have no place to take shelter quick as these are capable of CTG lightning which

we have experienced today already

Weird day here in Manhattan. Feels like there's a deflector shield up over the city - storms seem to dissipate or deflect north or south of Manhattan. We've had rumbles and showers, but nothing heavy let alone strong to severe.

Definitely a deflector shield over the city.  The streets of Manhattan are a bit wet but my station in Queens has reported 0.00" so far.  Almost feels like a 7-10 split for now.
