Most interesting story of the evolution of the New England rock walls

Thanks, pretty cool. I never knew about the sheep. One thing they didn't mention, if you notice a wall with lots of smaller rocks it was most likely used for cultivation. Farmers wouldn't bother for grazing.

I certainly doubt they are making up blanket statement about the entirety.

I know "soaking" is subjective, but generally I think "1-2" widespread" is a good min criteria.  Although definitions are fluid here b/c of  the use of "STEIN!" :D

Strong signal for a vigorous wave over the MDR in a few days, but we’ll need to see if shear can relent enough to allow for gradual development.

I think 8/20 starts the "peak" of the ATLC season, and goes throug 9/10.

ACE is only 16% S-T-D.

No MCS "robbing" things this thing given the SW flow for Sunday @CoastalWx take note.  But he will still find something wrong!

Svr risk looks interesting Sun b/c strong SW flow this time of year is not as detrimental from the marine infection due to warmer SSTs.  Very strong 250 jet over the region (100 kt +).  The flared appearance of the storms on the HRRR S of LI is promising.

Yes, Saturday night will probably have an area of heavy rain as there actually looks to be forcing on the warm front and decent dynamics. But it may not all be widespread either.

The warm front "connection" again!  But this time it should bodily move N and not hang out along the S Coast.
