hawkeye_wx
I think this oppressively-humid air feels great (for 5-10 minutes) when I've been in AC for a while. I get cold inside.

Turned them into the neighboring "pasture/yard" so they can finish that one off. Everything has missed us this month.

Usually it's associated with boring weather. I do like fog when it’s associated with something neat. Freezing fog, etc. This morning was cool because it was so damn humid and hot. 80/80 with dense fog at 9am was neat.

cmillzz Posted yesterday at 12:37 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:37 AM Chicago dodged what likely would've been its hottest day of the year thanks to today's storms. Rockford and Madison reached the mid-upper 90s under plenty of sun, and even Detroit ended up warmer. Pretty unlucky (or lucky) depending on how you view it, and also a really bizarre set-up. The thermal ridge was north. It's very doubtful that ORD would have topped the current highest of the year, which is 96° (7/14).
cyclone77 Posted yesterday at 01:13 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:13 AM Dews here have jumped back into the 80s as the dormant boundary approaches. Feeble cumulus flailing in failure along the boundary as it approaches the QCA. EDIT: And now that the boundary is southeast of us it has ignited several storms.
cyclone77 Posted yesterday at 03:38 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:38 AM Dew has dropped to 72 here now. Just stepped out and it's amazing how much better a 72 degree dew feels compared to an 82 degree dew. 1 3
Torchageddon
I got 1mm from the system that gave a few flashes & thunder at 11pm. 8 out of 10 t-storms this year have been between the hours of 11pm-3am. I got just that one okay tstorm a few weeks ago to break the smoke but even that is garden tier nothing much; a solid tstorm in mid summer here is rare. Today is mainly cloudy but the cooler air felt good 22C/75F. Smoke in the high levels causing mod AQI 75.

WestMichigan
2 hours ago, Brian D said: Heat adv out for NE MN & N WI except near the Lake. Very pleasant wx yesterday in the 70's with the same today. I guess pleasant is relative. This is from SW Alaska. Personally I would agree with you though. Quote Special Weather Statement From WED 9:7 until WED 21:15 ...WARMER THAN USUAL TEMPERATURES TODAY THROUGH FRIDAY... Daytime high temperatures will reach 70 to 75 degrees throughout this week, and will be hottest today and tomorrow. Temperatures this warm, and for this long, happen about once per year. The long duration of warmer days may impact subsistence activities like berry picking, fishing, and hunting. This could also affect people who are extremely sensitive to heat (like elders or infants), especially if they are unable to cool down or stay hydrated. Actions: Keep homes cool by closing curtains during the day and opening windows at night. If outdoors, stay hydrated and dress in lighter and looser clothing. Be alert to signs of heat stress in yourself and others. 2
