I think this oppressively-humid air feels great (for 5-10 minutes) when I've been in AC for a while.  I get cold inside.

It had been drying for a week. I had equipment problems that delayed the process.

Just got home last night from Airventure and other activities to the North and this morning Goat and Donkey were staring at me like "why is the grass turning to dirt?" lmao. Turned them into the neighboring "pasture/yard" so they can finish that one off.  Everything has missed us this month.

I do like fog when it’s associated with something neat. Freezing fog, etc. 

This morning was cool because it was so damn humid and hot. 80/80 with dense fog at 9am was neat.

Made it to 97 here today with a peak dew of 82.  MLI tagged 96 for the hottest temp of the year so far.

The Cedar Rapids dew point is up to 84º.  I think that's the highest since 1995.

Wow we really dodged this heat. 88 at DTW today should be hottest of the week.

Chicago dodged what likely would've been its hottest day of the year thanks to today's storms. Rockford and Madison reached the mid-upper 90s under plenty of sun, and even Detroit ended up warmer. Pretty unlucky (or lucky) depending on how you view it, and also a really bizarre set-up.

The thermal ridge was north.

It's very doubtful that ORD would have topped the current highest of the year, which is 96° (7/14).

Dews here have jumped back into the 80s as the dormant boundary approaches.  Feeble cumulus flailing in failure along the boundary as it approaches the QCA.
