Second time over in Norway, but man, this place is absolute sensory overload. Fun watching the Red Sox win 14 from various airports too, ha. Hard to drive with this going on around you.. At least they drive on the right...that helps when you are not focusing on the road!

I could live there if it wasn’t for the lack of light in winter It’s nice now, sunset at 11pm last night and sunrise 4am. Winter must be a toaster bath of darkness though. Everything goes straight up from the ocean… and it’s wild the hanging snowfields above treeline (low treeline, like 2,000ft) up at 4-6,000ft still hang on through summer in areas. One local was joking that the natural snow up high that isn’t glaciated usually melts by mid-August and then two weeks later it starts snowing up there again to build the new snowpack.

Snowedin Posted yesterday at 02:44 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:44 PM Feeling a little more muggy today. It’s nice to have it actually feel like summer again, at least ahead of the next round of moisture. It has a nice mid-level mesocyclone. If there was a bit more sf instability that would probably try producing. I wouldn't be shocked if some wind damage reports came in but perhaps its still a bit elevated so wind isn't mixing down. But there's also a big increase in lightning...a sign this is strengthening
