yikes dude - that looks like Arizona or California during the dry season.

Things here are pretty green thankfully as we've had enough periods of rain to keep things looking OK.

I went through that phase down here as well when we first moved here.  I battled against it until the summer of 2012 where I finally threw my hands up and naturalized my lawn.  Now I have oaks and loblolly pines 30-40ft tall covering most of my yard and what grass remains is mostly replaced by moss that stays green all summer, doesn't need mowing or watering.  Plus it's a lot cooler with all the shade.

Sounds nice!  I gave up a few weeks ago and will try again in September.  I want a natural looking lawn with lots of clover, a few wildflowers, etc,

0.20 final total for the event

My front lawn is on a small hill facing north under a tree. Trees line the curb on the other side of the sidewalk. I would love turf to keep the leaves from settling in between blades and creating bare spots. In addition to the moss that takes over because of the north facing lawn with low sunlight. I thought about putting fake grass down. lol

Off and on showers - little bit of additional accumulation... Everything just feels and looks a bit better after last evenings rainfall... Fresh mulch with some rain on it has a nice smell at least to me...Screenshot_20260629_123543_Gallery.thumb.jpg.a55f87740f138f29ec61b2455a438f26.jpg

I am amazed at how wrong you can be about so many things!!

No wonder you didn't know the difference between a Watch and a Warning!  Amazing

A couple other duds:   Why would I be "vehemently against climate change" when it has been non-stop for millions of years!

As far as "knowing more than studied meteorologists", that is hilarious!!!   I like nothing more than learning from a true professional.   Voretex 95 is highly intelligent and made fantastic contributions to the discussion yesterday. I only wish that he could find the time to make daily contributions.

Cape?  Well, he used to be contributory at times.  More and more as he gets older, he gets his kicks by trying to be the bulldog on the block. Mental issues I guess.

Stay straight, study hard and one day you may be a fine met.  My disappointment yesterday was that several months ago, considering your desired course in life, I thought I could occasionally begin to learn from you.   I just have to be patient.

I'm consistently 'contributory', but you are entitled to your opinion. I won't comment on your value here.........................................................

No kicks. I just tell it like it is. And my 'mental issues' have nothing to do with my age. B)

Thanks Cape, " I just tell it like it is"   is a perfect description of your style.

Do you believe that you may be better off not" tellin it like it is".   What is wrong with a decent poster who does not tell it like it is??

A "tell it like it is bastard"  is not popular with intelligent people.  Why can't you allow people who you don't agree with to go on their way without a snarky attack.  If they make a totally inaccurate allegation, correct it and move on without insults.

And , yes, your mental issues are probably a lifelong trait
