Nice high efficiency soaker.  Just blew by the 1 inch mark and it's pouring very nicely.

61 degrees midday with steady rain on first day of astro. summer is something I do like, but I must admit it also feels wrong. Checking Chicago-area climo for June 21-22, this kind of first day of summer happens maybe once a decade. The last four years have all had heat right around the solstice. The last year with a notably cool and rainy spell around the solstice was 2018.

Very lucky that I will make it to July with hardly any heat this year!

My rain total is 0.47", on the low end of guidance.  This is about as awful as a June day can get.  It feels like April.  Let's get back to warm and humid with storms.

2.17" so far.  Nice soaker.

EDIT:  2.37" now as it winds down.  Seemed a lot like tropical remnants today.  Pretty unusual to get this much stratiform rain in late June with zero thunder.  The past hour or so we had heavy drizzle coming down in sheets with the gusty ne winds.  Gave us an extra couple of tenths.

Ultra saturated sounding from DVN earlier this evening.  Explains why even the drizzle was heavy earlier.

Another cool morning with upper 30’s at my place. Eagle Mine about 10 miles nw of me down to 31. Should see mid 60’s today and a bit warmer tonight w/ mid 40’s. 
Have about 6 weeks of good garden weather before the sun begins to sink behind the trees on the hill to my south and west, essentially shading my garden from 3 pm on. 
Rooting for a couple weeks of mid to upper 80’s and humidity between now and then.

Low 30's to mid 40's across the area this morning with highs expected around 70. I'm sure there was patchy frost in some localized areas.

Dew point was in the mid 30's this morning.  Not something you normally see in this part of Michigan in the latter part of June.

Loving these temps but I know the rubber band is gonna snap by the 4th so I'm going to FL after the 4th for 2 weeks to justify 95/75 everyday lol.
