cyclone77
I'm glad this was brought up. You know earlier I was thinking what would make these 80 degree dewpoints even better? Smoky skies. 6
WestMichigan
Looks like we are going to finish June with a negative temperature departure for the month. A warm period at the beginning and end of the month couldn't overcome an incredibly pleasant middle part. It would take something like +42 departure today to bring us back to normal. It might feel like it with the humidity today, but that is a different story.

Basically, a "normal" June anyway you slice it (generally +/- 0.5F is often considered "normal" by many). For me personally it has been a cool and very enjoyable June, due to the timing of my Alaska trip coinciding with our warmth early in the month and then my return coming with 2 weeks of below avg temps. Brian D
Two Harbors' mean 53.9 (avg 56.3) is the 11th coldest temp, tied with 2019, out of 65 unique temps (midpoint temp is 56.6) in the record since 1894. 4.63" of precip (avg 4.23"). DLH mean 60.7 (avg 61.2) is 26th warmest out of 79 unique temps (midpoint temp is 59.0) since 1874. 4.28" of precip (avg 4.39). I looked at a PWS stn that is near the old wx bureau office location in the downtown area. It had an avg of 59.6. Duluth arpt data in the Threadex record starts in 1941. Near lake, and over the hill data can be a little different with the diurnal range.

sbnwx85
From NWS IWX social media: Yes, you are reading this correctly, South Bend, IN had 10.06" of rain in June! This is incredibly rare to have over 10" of rainfall in just one month (especially taking into consideration that rainfall this June came from efficient heavy rainfall producing thunderstorms rather than from tropical remnants). There has only been one other time 10"+ of rainfall has occurred in June (1993 with 10.86", which is the monthly record rainfall). June 2026 was the 2nd wettest June on record in South Bend. Since records began in 1893, 10"+ of rainfall has only happened 3 other times. 10.06" in June 2026 ranks as the 4th wettest month ever in South Bend's history, behind 13.92" (Sept 2008), 12.81" (August 2016), and 10.86" (June 1993).
