I’m in Weymouth sort of in the northern part of town a couple miles from the water. I had a pretty good southwest wind all day, usually if that’s the case and Logan Seabreeze they’ll bump after 4 o’clock many times it’s like between five and 6 o’clock.

I'll definitely remember this one.

Really, the only near full-proof plan with Kalshi is to wait on DSMs/remarks and "trade" on highs/lows that already occur. You need to compete with bots and that's difficult to accomplish unless you develop a bot yourself.

I do wonder where people get observations from in near real-time. Odds flipped well before an observation was provided at https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=KBOS

Anyone from the NWS know? I think MADIS is the closest you can get to ~real-time.

Scott uses the TBOS FAA radar for local wind insights.  The pride of Weymouth - having a radar!  LOL.

Duplicate observations too. I claim foul play!

There were other 88 degree observations afterwards, and the DSM does have 88 at 14:59LST (after the random gusts to 51kt) so I'll take the 'L' on this one.

If I mention AI again, ban me. Every time I question AI's reliability/efficacy/etc..., I get lit up lol

Gusts last for 10 mins before it resets

You can call the ASOS weather phone. They pretty much all have one…AWOS too.

A few of the bigger sites do have online software with realtime data. The NWS has 1 min obs from PHX up on their site too.

It has unfortunately been exposed often enough, times of misguidance wrt to drug and vaccine therapies (regardless of why) that it's naive and ill-advised now to rely on in-office recommendations, out of hand.   You instead should nod thoughtfully and tell the physician not at this time.   If the they push ... particularly in that sort of situation, then you respectfully decline and tell them that you will be completing some independent research 'like you always do' before arriving to any course of action.

I asked for 2 shots. One for me and one for you.

Supposedly the aurora is going to be out tonight, central NE and north.  We shall see.  Will probably have to use my camera to see it. I have seen two in my life.  One was last year in Nov.  The other was 30 years ago in the the Wolfeboro area.  We did hit 90 today.

Edit: temp note

No .. I generally am anti medicine. Obviously no vaccines with all the cancers , heart issues etc.. but unless I am really sick with high fever / headache I suffer it out. I do take magnesium everyday to help prevent/manage migraines which I’ve suffered with since 16

Hey Kevin, I pretty much cured my migraines by eliminating all processed sugar and/or simple carbs as much as possible

Take some getting used to it and it might seem boring to eat that way, but after a while you get used to it it’s totally OK

I was stricken with two maybe three migraines a month for the past 45 to 50 years of my life.  Although as I got into my 40s, the actual pain part of the headaches got more tolerable. But I would still get the aura with a distorted vision shit that lasts for 20 minutes to a half hour, followed by headache

anyway, I tried a lot of different things about diet with some limited success, but they always just came back.  The only thing that’s really worked and I’ve had one migraine in the past two years … only one (and I think I know why ) is no added or processed sugar of any kind and no simple carbs like white bread or white pasta.  Sometimes you’re gonna get some of that stuff by accident because we’re Americans and we live under a western cultural diet umbrella but it’s likely related to thresholds of tolerance.  If you keep your exposure to that stuff is minimal as possible for me anyway that turned out to be my silver bullet.

Upshot is that all those other inflammatory factors if you have any of them get better   I haven’t had a cold in two years either by the way, and it’s proven scientifically that it’s better for your immune system if you get sugars from things like fruit, which by the way, you can eat a very sweet mango and a very sweet cantaloupe and the sugar that’s in there doesn’t actually raise your glycemic index   I can eat fruit to the cows from home. I don’t get any migraines at all.

Beer is OK … Although it’s bad for other reasons, I won’t get into that

Gotta have some fun in life though

Oh, and by the way, I do on Saturday and Sunday use a little bit of organic Trinidad cane sugar in my coffee, but that’s it.
I can tell you right now if I got ahold of high fructose corn syrup?   doomed

If Kev ate edibles instead of beer there would be some quality posting rather than drunk posting.

Smoking anything isn’t my style, but big fan of a mild 5mg edible in the evening, especially for sleep.  I sleep amazingly on a low dose indica rosin edible.  Don’t like to do it too often though so sleep doesn’t get too dependent on it, but before a day off or heading into the weekend, best sleep of the week.

High of 83F off a low of 43F, another 40-degree swing.  Currently 63/52.  Great June day.

Yeah I know there’s a few of us on here ( Dendy is one) that have discussed this over the years. I too get that heart wrenching , panic attack aura that lasts for 25-30 minutes. Lose your vision., see kaleidoscope shapes .. all the while knowing the hell that is about to follow. I’ve had it happen while driving on sales calls and had to pull over . In my younger days it would result in nausea .”, vomiting , pounding headaches. As I have aged the headaches are more manageable and no nausea. In fact, I went 3 years without getting any in my early 50’s.. and then this past holiday season had about 5 in less than a month including one on Christmas Day. I thought I had outgrown them as generally you do into your 50’s. For me trigger’s were General Tso’s chicken , driving with sunlight thru the trees creating strobing , and the biggest culprit of all .. barometric pressure rises and falls . I gave been to neurologists for tests and so have some triptofan medication which I do take . I have gotten multiple ones in the same day hours apart .

Yeah, it sounds like you and I came the exact same path in life.
Truth be told I stumbled on my cure by accident

I was doing an experimental diet for weightlifting, which was high in carbohydrates, but I was eating the wrong kind of carbs and wasn’t really aware of it or actually… I might’ve been aware of it, but I didn’t take it seriously because I’ve never had a problem with it, but I came back with a 6.0 on the A1c and they said I was getting prediabetic that despite the fact that I work out pretty much every day of the week too

So I freaked out and panicked and did a lot of research learned all about the different kinds of sugar, how they occur nature, how they occur in industry, what the difference is and how we get them in on purpose or by accident …everything and developed a diet that was completely devoid of any of them

Migraines gone.

I don’t know I’ll give it a try. It might be worth it.  I can see how general guides did that too cause who the hell knows how they’re sweetening that.  I don’t dare get anything sweet from a Chinese restaurant since I made this connection.
I sometimes get chicken wings though, but they don’t sweeten

by the way, it’s funny you called that kaleidoscope because me and my buddy Geoff, who also has the exact same migraines this whole life we call it “K day” in texts
