The apartment I live in doesn’t have AC and doesn’t need it because it’s partially below ground. That being said, today is the warmest it’s ever been in here in 5 years of living here. I don’t have an indoor thermometer but it has to be close to 80. Thankfully I can handle warm indoor environments better than most people so I don’t mind it.

KMQS (Chester County airport) - 3 miles to my southwest. As of 2:35pm: 96.8°F, DP 70.9°F, heat index 105°F. I’m becoming more confident that we’ll miss triple digits at this point. ETA: Down to 96.1 at 2:55pm

I was sitting in the DMV at KOP earlier. That’s when I learned that indoor swamp ass is a thing.

@ChescoWx - how long has it been now since KMQS last broke 100?

KMQS has only reached 100 degrees one time since records began on July 22, 2011 when they hit 100.4 - that was also my hottest day when we hit 99.1 degrees

Worcester, PA. peaked at my house 100.4.  Heat index of 115. Went to see the Big Boy train in Linfield, PA.  Really cool to see, but unofficial temp was 104 at that location, Really really hot, humid, miserable conditions.  Mass Casualty Incident declared in Berks County due to the crowds gathered for the train. Don't' know any details,  but based on what I saw  (and felt to some extent)  where I was in Montgomery County - heat exhaustion, fainting, etc. had to be some of the calls. Train was running about 1 hr late  which made matters worse. Waited to take pictures only to get the message "Phone is too hot for the camera to work". The heat kind of made a memorable event of the train more memorable.

More than 100 people treated there.

I was lucky the train came through Tamaqua around 11am, before peak heating, but it was still plenty hot. There were a handful of heat emergencies here, though, too.

If your not at least 98F today in the southeast part of the state your thermometer is wrong

LOL!!! Ruh Roh.... sorry Redsky he may have had a couple when he posted this..... but in addition to my station in SE PA in Chester County - the professional stations at Nottingham DEOS, Atglen DEOS, KMQS Coatesville Airport, Glenmoore DEOS, Nottingham DEOS, West Grove DEOS all failed to hit 98 degrees today. Me thinks all these professional station thermometers are not wrong!! Thoughts RedSky??
