80 Degrees to Ripping Snow: March 12th

Did anyone from Crofton to Annopoils hear that loud, long rumble of thunder about an hour ago? It was snow hard when it struck. I've experienced thunder snow so many times in my life. I'm always outside during snow events,  that's why. I've almost been struck by lightning during summer at least 5 times in my life. That's another story lol

I would have to grade a D+ for MBY.  Another year of only 60% of climo snowfall or less for the last 5 years.

YES. I thought it was a jet in distress. Very strange sounding.

This will get me over 22" for the winter(only a tenth short-need to round up more lol). Best since 2015.

Taking @MN Transplant's latest measurement of 1.5", I am officially right at climo with 19.9". No more, no less. 

Now if he records 1.6" or more...

Sitting at 20.6" here for the season, which is below my climo by about 5".  I would give this winter a B for mby.  The pouring sleet at 18 degrees, the resulting 3 week glacier, and then not going above freezing for a week and a half bumped it up to a B from a C in my opinion.

Sorry, it was non-accumulating after that and we’ve already gone backwards.  My CoCoRahs report will be 1.5”.

That was it! It was a really loud boom of thunder. Then it rolled long enough for me to get my phone out and capture the tail end on video.

How much did you get the whole winter? I’m at close to 18” which is right at the median (few inches below mean).

Next winter will be for your yard, while it mostly rains here. Ninos aren't what they used to be for coastal areas. Prefer Ninas lol.
