This year it's over. I'm not saying that it won't cool down after the incoming torch but there won't be anymore snow after next week, especially near the coast.

Famous last words…

After the threats this weekend and early next week, things really warm up. Both the GFS and Euro really pump up the Bermuda ridge. We could be looking at lower 70's outside of Long Island for an extended stretch beginning the end of next week.

At this point pretty much everyone expect for the most dedicated snow weenies are fine with it.

We deserve a nice, warm, early Spring after the brutal Winter we have just endured. Yes, it snowed a lot, which was fun at times. There were also periods of brutal, bone chilling cold and dry weather and more ridiculously windy days than I can count.

I think is going to suck if the PV predictions are correct.

I guess I’m a dedicated snow weenie. I was spoiled this year, my house in the Catskills was getting lake effect snow in early/mid November and I was loving every second of it lol

is it bad I'm skeptical of the torch considering every promised warmup this winter felt muted?

Its probably something like a day or two and not nearly as impressive as it seems now. I feel like that's something that's already played out like this with guidance earlier this winter. I'm skeptical as well. Of any torch being prolonged. Ensembles have been overheating the east for months now.

Nah unless it's some monster March storm most are ready for spring.

agreed. by march the fun of it has worn off for me and i remember that i can go skateboarding outside and not in head to toe long johns. we skate a parking garage in dobbs ferry where im nearly certain theres loads of asbestos or some other highly carcinogenic insulation that we breathe in 3-4 times a week for the duration of winter.

obv, thats my own problem, but having skateboarded essentially my entire life it's not something i can just shelf for a few months. the snow is beautiful but by march i've exhausted my 4 hoodies i own and im ready to be outside in a tee shirt again.

on the other hand, i'd certainly rather see it snow than the 30 straight days of grey, rain, wind, and 51 degrees that april will surely bring lmao
