No. They need to take their steroids in order to win games!
-
The development of Western Brooklyn and Queens over the last 20 years has definitely had an impact on this.
-
In the summer, you can tell that it has rained recently by Central Park running 2-5 degrees lower then everyone else.
-
50/50 chance, more 90 degree days for Central Park the rest of this summer. It seems that 2004/2009 has arrived.
-
The classic developing EL Niño cool and rainy summer pattern has kicked in.
-
Classic developing Niño summer pattern kicking in. If it had started 6 weeks earlier, we might be comparing this summer to 2004 or 2009.
-
That's exactly how this summer seems to be shaping up to be.
-
The problem gets worse each year once the trees leaves full bloom.
-
Central Park should have it's title as NYC's official weather site taken away at this point! It's becoming embarrassing and the difference gets worse and worse, each year!
-
Trim the vegetation around the KNYC sensors or move it to another location. It gets worse and worse each year the accuracy of Central Park high'sduring the warm season.
-
Central Park is a veg head!
-
There are growing signs that there could be severe heat in the June 12th-14th time frame.
-
And then, we go right back to potential near record heat by the 12th-13th according to some of models.
-
May 2020 came very close in Central Park.
-
Once again, Central Park is running several degrees lower then the rest of the area. Even JFK is running higher this afternoon! This gets worst every year and is an embarrassment at this point! The NWS should take away their classification as the official NYC weather site if the parks conservation isn't willing to either trim vegetation surrounding the sensor or move the sensor back to the pre 1996 site!
-
NYC only reached 92! According to their main weather site! It didn't get too hot today!
-
It is almost certainly higher than 92 in almost the entire borough of Manhattan except for the KNYC weather sensor.
-
The entire city, except for eastern and south Queens is currently generally in the mid 90s! Central Park hasn't gone above 92! They were projected to be in the 95-97 range, today. Probably no other weather station in our area has underperformed today as much as KNYC has.
-
Move the sensors in Central Park! It's going to another summer of the park running 3 to 5 degrees then the rest of the city!
-
The usual warm spots will be 95+ next Tuesday. That's unusual for mid-late May! Most max record highs for our area in the month of May are between 95-99 degrees.
-
I feel that it's time that we have a real serious discussion about next week's heat potential. Some places in and around the I-95 corridor could approach near record monthly high temperatures next Tuesday, if this air mass lives up to it's full billing!
-
We might be heading towards one of our coolest May's since 1967.
