And his point is very good when you think about it. Anyway…very glazed out there tonight.

It was a legit season. Lets hope we don’t revert back to another multi year stretch of suck though. We need to keep banging it out to close out the decade.

Typhoon Tip
My sense is there’s kind of like a contest in some people There is none It was always going to warm up and then likely cool back down We’ll see what that entails on both ends of that, but there is no contest

The area just north of Vermont and NH was the areas in Quebec that were real bad..St Zenon, St Donat those areas were the theft areas with the Indian reservations. I’m a little surprised up in NB…but It can happen obviously.

Account from yore in a 12/16/07 event back then: ”We endured 4 hours of blinding snow in the northeast gale. Up to thy knickers by the finis. The courier was dumbfounded to find a snow tempest in Plymouth MA after riding through heavy ice in Tolland CT.”

Just wasn't your classic wound up nor'easter. It was similar to PD2 in that way. Blizzard criteria not reached but still plenty windy with gusts over 30-40mph, in the evening and night. That's probably the best storm we've had in the past 10 years around here, probably a top 3 or 2 for me, ever. I dont think i've seen S+ at around 5-7F all day and probably will never see that again. Truly remarkable. Two foot+ storms in one season is always a big W and something that doesnt happen often either.

That was a great one. 18 plus here with blowing and temp of 5 degrees, and wind chills pushing close to -20F. Great storm. Too bad we missed out on the real big stuff a week ago…but those are the breaks. Maybe we can pull a good one mid month with that potential set up? Be nice to make up for/take the sting away from what happened last Sunday night and Monday.
40/70 Benchmark
Nice winter....not one of my favorites, but I'd hit it again. Still wouldn't bet against another KU mid-month.

Buy it and take serious...not even looking at models yet, but just basing off of my seasonal analogs....be stunned if March passes us by without hell to pay after this incoming warmth. Just checked out your updated seasonal map through March 2 and I’m honored to be the lowest total in all of SNE!

No reports from there but im estimating 24-36" there I never realized how bad of an area the 91 CTRV in central Hampden and Hampshire counties were until i started putting together these maps and seasonal snowfall stuff. They are just in the worst possible spot, shadowed by the ORH and Berkshire hills, too far north and miss a lot of coastals and E MA specials, too low elevation to do well in those type of events. It's almost better to be in central CT and around Windsor Locks area than up there.
