Oh, yea...I quickly decided today it was noise.

definitely. one cycle is never a trend and it wasnt even the whole suite.

anyway the ECMWF did awful this storm not only was it the last to catch on (not including the AI) but then it decided to go back east for one run and was like "nah i wanna go back OTS i like it there" but then got bullied back west.

Well, it's technically part of the system so here goes... just woke up to light snow and looking like about a half inch here in Westfield early morning. I saw it modeled,  but didn't expect it to really reach the ground

That was left over snow from system we just had. The Storm hasn't formed yet. It's just starting to barely take shape now.

It's energy ahead of the system. You could see it modeled. Considering it will be consolidating into the same system, I see it as associated. Whatever, it's passed through now anyway,  but wouldn't be surprised to see more on and off flurries today

the main sfc low that we will see begin developing today, no. But its part of the main overall system affecting us and i would count anything that fell overnight and this morning part of this storm. you can see the ULL parked over the great lakes just looking at the radar

Sure, that's upper level low about to help draw in the main system that will form down off the Carolinas, but I just generally start counting specifically when the ocean storm itself starts to hit us. To me it just seems more legit to start counting then instead of these little disturbances/ flurries that pass now and again. That's all really IMHO.

Oh, I do agree there. I wouldn't put this in my count. Just went out and it's a little less than half inch.  Hey, it covers all the dirty snow i caused yesterday when snowblowing.
