RAD shows it snowing here, but it isn't...fitting way to end.

Sorry you mostly missed out on this one. I thought I was in for a similar fate when we didnt even have flakes until nearly midnight last night.

South shore is typically feast or famine so I doubly relate.

I don't know about you guys, but I always feel a little melancholy when a big storm is coming to an end. You just know it could be many years before you experience something like it again.

It remember looking at my 34” 5 years ago and thinking that was the peak for my lifetime.

100% I felt that way just last month and then we get this. What a winter even so, 2015 will always be the benchmark for me.

I definitely feel that way at times.  The build up is amazing... sometimes almost as good as the actual event.

And then... withdrawal...

Withdrawal is definitely the word for it. You just find yourself randomly scrolling through model runs on Tropical Tidbits looking for another dopamine hit, but alas...

Take lots of pics. I still look at these 2015 pics from hull. It just blows my mind what we lived through that year. I think we got 10 feet in 45 days.

I hate when the build-up is better and I am drawn more to radar returns than actually being outside

I may be wrong, but for the official stations of the major cities (BDL, PVD, BOS, ORH, etc), is that the highest storm total ever recorded in SNE?

I wanna say ORH was 34ish in Jan 2015?  Cant recall the exact number. I think that would be the next closest.

I think the majority of us feel the same way. Post storm depression. Happens toward the end of the storm when its just winding down, even if it was a good one, even if it was great. It's a very bizarre and indescribable feeling, almost like a high is wearing off. You got what you wanted, but yet somehow feel depressed, it's very odd.

Yeah it was 34.5", that's the highest I can think of for second place.
