40" is suspect. Lots of snow out there, but also lots of drift enhancement...

There will be a lot of bad total snow and water equiv measurements with this.

Were the airport readings Kevin posted real?   He had 30" at PVD

METAR had SNINCR 2/30. Which is 2 in the last hour 30 on the ground - but they had 5 before the snow started, so that's at least 25" from this storm. With compaction I would guess the measured total will be higher at 1 pm. So I think that makes this at least #2 all time (as long as they've cleaned up the record with Will's info).

Band just keeps coming. This is surreal.

Wish it was just like 10 miles further west but we're still getting 1"/hr+ at minimum

What are your totals? I have no idea precisely what we have, shoveled earlier guesstimating 10-12" around 9am

I haven't posted on here in a long while. I'm in North Providence, on the southwest side. I went out at 10:30 to measure, and the spots that seemed the most level was 17 inches. Way less than people south and east of me reporting 24 inches. Downtown Providence is only 3.5 miles east of me. Granted, I'm just measuring the total now. If I had done it every 6 hours on a snow board, I'll bet it would be 20 inches or so. But no idea, really.

I think that means "no", not yet.  :)

Band refusing to move from me, Brett and Bob.

Also, where is Corey???  He's going to be pushing 30" there

I CAN’T EVEN FIND AN 11” MEASUREMENT!!  Even The Drifts aren’t 20”!!

I was 10 Miles TOO FAR North for that band.

What a Historic Bust.  RI is talking on the news like it’s the Biggest Storm some 1978, and I have 6”-10” in the driveway.

Drifts are the Best since 2015.  Horizontal Snow is Best since 2013.  Other than that; All-Time Disappointment.  EVEN when everyone thinks RI got Destroyed.  All but Far North like me and NW like Foster.

Anyone else without power? This is just an awesome storm. I won't Jack here in Plymouth but I don't care. We are getting plennnnnnty.

Still power in Randolph. There has been lots of tree maintenence the last few years and it seems to have helped. Seems like our worst winds were early morning. Good luck getting your power back!

It’s probably around 2 feet here.

Similar conditions here. Just on the fringe of an all-timer, but still a fantastic storm

I've been angry that Providence stopped measuring snow in Feb of 1996 (Of course, the snowiest winter ever), and did it hit or miss till 2001, when it was picked up again. Is that what you mean by "Cleaned up the record with Will's info"? I was on a weather website talking about snow, and they mentioned that Providence had 105 inches in 95-96. I could not figure out where they got that info. They do asterisk saying it's not the official total. Or are you talking about other snow info about Providence?
