Love these massive flakes. beautiful. All the tree limbs are covered. Wish it were a couple degrees colder/not a wet ground. This would easily be 2-3 inches.

As it is the first inch is otg. Glad this happened earlier than expected so I could enjoy it before hitting the road.

still 32.5

it's like eightballs falling from the sky. usually, we see this at the end of storms and not beginning

The curse continues in Westminster Maryland. If the inverted trough misses west which I can kind of see happening already and we get stuck in between I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with 0. This one might end up being worse than the Jan 2022 event that gave Columbia 14 and us 2 or something like that. Whatever this 10 year pattern is I have had about enough of it. Beaches have seen tons of snowstorms in this time frame. I mean North Carolina beaches which average 1 inch of snow get an 18 inch blizzard. wtf is going on here?

I’m under yellows per radar, but rain is not that heavy. I think there is some bright banding going on up there. It’s getting close (column is starting to cool)

Yeah it’s got to be something like that. Drizzle still with pretty respectable reflectivity

We’re right next to the radar site so how far up is it seeing that snow melt? Would think it’s not even 2000+ ft up in the air

I am beginning to think that blob west of dc is the inverted trough.

It's not yet at that latitude. Won't start appearing for another 3-4 hrs. It's somewhat visible into west-central PA right now, but the dynamics aren't there yet for down this way.
