I'd much rather they get it than places like NC, or like last year, New Orleans and we get nothing. That hurts on a whole different level.

Maestrobjwa
Well...I had snow joy for about 30 mins this evening. Drove down beautiful Charles Street with all trees, grass, and even some pavement covered while listening to Moses Hogan arrangements (iykyk). Beautiful drive... .....Then I came on here and was reminded of what we're missing, lol

mattie g
It’s a little frustrating to get texts from my family in South Jersey hearing about how they’re already getting clobbered, but the fact that I need to get out on a 7:00 am flight tomorrow eases that pain a little bit. If I didn’t have that flight out, I might have been on tilt by now.
87storms
I should be complaining here instead, so I will. Yes, storm is not over, but I was under a winter storm warning that began at 3pm and have wet pavement so far. It goes to show, some types of systems still expose modeling errors. Terpeast
I for one am happy to see the benchmark storm track alive and well. And it snowed and everything is white imby. No, we didn’t jack, but we can’t jack them all. We’ll definitely get ours sooner or later, I’m sure of it. And this nor’easter… ain’t she a beaut?! Gotta appreciate the raw power of this storm as a meteorologist. 6

Literally would be an example in my weather and atmosphere class at uva of how the jet influences H5 levels which influence 850 down lift and cyclogenesis. Gotta appreciate the raw power of this storm as a meteorologist. I'd settle for just not jacking... that blue area's a good bit worse than not jacking unfortunately, especially with UHI. It is beautiful though. Bittersweet. Says a lot about the Mid Atlantic for that beauty to end up the way it does in some of our locales.
PrinceFrederickWx
Some in the forum were not so jolly, they thought they’d get Norlun’d but instead they got Raleigh’d. (I’ll show myself the door now ) 1

Now I can fully weenie out watching whatever this storm is unfold. I don't want to be that annoying sanctimonious person...snow is life, I'm a massive weenie...but it is also just snow. And given that this means you have no one in your life--because why else would someone behave this way, and who would want to associate with someone who provides zero value in any situation whatsoever--I'm completely satisfied. Oh and look. It's still snowing. You have a good one now! bless your heart

davidjd1114
This is an honest question but why have the models gotten so bad in terms of accuracy for this specific area over the past 10 or so years?? I just can’t wrap my head around how models change sooo much even up to just a few hours before a storm starts .
