If the GFS is right (wouldn’t love betting on it still) we’ll accumulate fine at 33. Won’t max out our QPF but we’d be fine.

Yeah, dont get the pretty maps comment over and over. If you are getting deformed, temps will matter very little.

Along and east of I-95 will need to watch this very closely. This is giving shades of some of the monsters of the past for east of the fall line. I feel really good if I’m along the west shore of the Bay and points east.

10:1 stuck a 27.9” over us on GFS :snowing:

I wasn't here at that time but the P-day blizzard of 79 was epic.

What happened to all your dirty talk earlier

Edit: lol I don't understand directions. The last clown map had the edge of the pinks too close for comfort and I got spooked lol.

Heaviest snowfall for east of the fall line looks to be just before sunset and beyond so should be good. Anything earlier than that, I agree it’ll be difficult. I’m curious to see the dynamic in that for this one. Probably some weird gradients forming in MD and NoVA.

Roads are washed clean from the rain and no trucks anywhere to be found today. This is creeping up on everyone and a lot of peeps about to be caught off guard if this holds

They can't brine if it starts as rain.

It's not sneaking up, you just don't pre-salt the roads in this scenario.

At this point the ensembles are so tightly clustered it hardly matters. But worth noting, 00z GEFS is kind of contradictory. QPF department, more/west, low placement is a tiny tick east. But the GEFS has kind of stair stepped at times toggling back so I wouldn't be worried about the end of the fun yet. Could very well just be noise. And I'll mention again the trailing wave... keep that inching closer and it might help more.

I told book club the same. Snow during the day that may not accumulate much, with best snow later afternoon and night. Gfs goods is to my east, but who knows where that band will set up in the end. Along the bay, both sides, are sitting pretty imo. But 4-6” is a good place to start imby methinks

I forecasted 6” for your area today before any of this calamity started from the 18z and 00z runs. I’m hoping this CCB hits the 95 corridor flush and we can all sing kumbaya

Still plenty of time for another west shift to get the western burbs in the goods! (I can’t sleep…)

But you don't quite believe it do you? Lol (I'm kinda the same tbh...although I am starting to believe in 5"+ though)

I don’t believe the ridiculous high totals. I think who gets under that band could get a foot. Where that is? No clue.
