Allright, help me out guys. How much snowfall had there been in the Lansdale/Hatfield area? I have to go down there around noon to 1pm to deliver Lucerne Dairy on Forty Foot Road.

You be right up the street from me. We'll meet at Whelihan's when you're finished and pound some beer before your return trip ;)

Seriously, I haven't been out yet but guestimate maybe 9-10" from the window. My side street has be plowed and it's just blacktop this morning. Safe travels!!

Thanks much!

I could use an adult beverage or three as I'm quite wound up this morning.

30f light to moderate snow.

storm totals so far:

rain: 0.12”

snow: 9.9”

snow for year: 35.7”

looks like a moderate band dropping down from the NNE moving SSW towards here perhaps another 1-2” or so.

Snow weighs a ton

Lots of power outages

stay safe!

Lets see the miracle of melting starting at like 10 am sun angle even with clouds full effect.

Looks like my forecast of 10-16” worked out well along I-95 overall.

I have measured on average 5” in multiple spots, unless wind or compaction slightly skewed my numbers. For the major services, Accuweather and TWC nailed the LV. NWS bombed the forecast here, even through later updates when it was certain the heavier banding was not making it here. There were always gonna be winners and losers with this one. Happy for the folks to the south and east who did really well!

Overall the timing of the storm was probably near perfect regarding the heaviest stuff falling at night, even though in general @RedSkyis right daytime snow is preferred. Hopeful the hrrr’s that showed it throwing snow back over the area through morning were right and we can eek out another inch or more.

I’m too worn down to go dig out now. Always feel like crap after a storm because I’m running on no sleep at 40 years old lol

This storm broke the rgem. Its 6z run even screwed up over Rhode Island

They’re getting blitzed up there currently

30F.  Despite being a little too far west of the good stuff it was a great storm.  Amazing it's still snowing lightly while BOS is getting hammered.  Can just eyeball and go by nearby measurements, I believe I'm right around 8".

Hahaha I’m 35 and that exact thought went through my head. Cleared everything around 11 pm last night and it looks like I didn’t even bother this morning. Definitely waiting for it to at least stop and the plow to come down again before I dig out. It’s funny I’ve always been so against snow blowers, but this may be the storm that breaks me and causes me to rethink that stance

Looks like Levittown and SE Bucks really cashed in!

From 7 pm to 6 am we probably averaged 1.5” an hour with the largest single hour being 3”. That deformation band pivoted and rotted right over us.

For an 8:00 am reading, currently 30 with dp 30 and persistent SN. Finally climbed through the tundra to get to the board (which is on a table) and what was there was taller than the 12" ruler, so got a 2nd one to get 13.5". :lmao:  The Ryan Hall Y'All look-alike snow ruler that I had adjacent to the board, had snow that drifted to almost 17" (I had sprayed it with teflon spray to at least minimize wet snow plastered against it).

I did remember that 10 years ago, I bought a 4ft aluminum T-square that I had used to make some replacement dresser drawer bottoms, so dug in the basement to find that and try it.  It was difficult to find an "open" place to sink it (my back patio is poured concrete with strips of ground on either side) but both my lilacs are completely bent over onto what open center patio area there was, so readings there would be skewed.  Still, it ended up sinking to at least 12" - 13" in multiple spots (and I left it out there).

I cleared most of the board (that I could get to) and will see what comes next.

Time to buy an old-fashioned wooden yardstick. :D

Another 0.5" since 5am still snowing here in East Nantmeal - snow total so far 9.5" - seasonal total up to 46.9"

How did Sea Isle fair snow and costal flooding wise?   Thanks Paul.

My favorite part of the storm besides pretty trees and blizzard conditions was seeing 2” of snow in Sea Isle at 33f and Media 38f and watching the snow rain line move NW pretty amazing dynamics the thunderstorms were cool too offshore last night.

What a storm!
