There is a category in the New England Forum called SnowStorm memories. In it, "the Four Seasons", red-tag, has extensive maps, etc on all New England Storms going back to the mid-90s. What is interesting is that he says:

 

PD II updated maps coming next. Oddly, i just check the list of all historic storms i have on the website right now and theres almost nothing from Feb 15th to the end of Feb other than PD2 and 1999/2010 for big ones. 

Tons in March though.

How many times have we seen this map on either the Euro or EuroAI? Crazy. But they have yet to be correct. And no, I  don't consider 1/25 anything close to this map or previous similar ones this year.

This winter has seemed like a lot of it’s a week away threats. Ofc, none of them had high probabilities of hitting but the fact only one of them (and it was the only STJ wave so higher confidence further out) did anything is pretty unlucky.

But seriously, I still kinda have hope for that general period around the 24th. The 12Z GFS looked craptastic for much of its run but even still showed some potential near that time. Earlier runs showed similar hints too.

if some of that euro AI output is sleet it'll happen. We do sleet very well in the MA.

Be careful with "fools gold". I got into hot water last week with that term!!!!

Consistency counts for something.  This is the second run for AI liking next Sunday/Monday.

Euro has two events (I think, basing off 2m temps and precip). One for the 23rd (maybe 2-4"?) and one for March 1st-2nd (rain to snow?)
