OrdIowPitMsp
Twin Cities under a WWA for 2-4” of snow today. The model trends have been in my favor for wrap around snowfall. Temps are already falling through the 30s
Torchageddon
Steady mod rains since 6am, I already see a glaze on roads and higher surfaces despite it being near 1C/33F. I hope WUN is correct with lower precip and stoppage at 2pm. There was a brief flicker 2 hr ago. I turned the heat way up.
Brian D
LP looks to be occluding atm, so that will shutoff the heavy feed of moisture coming in from the S. The Lake is enhancing what is coming tho, so hopefully will maintain a steady SN throughout the day. Winds should start to back off as well as LP gets closer, and the gradient weakens. Gusts are down some from earlier.
sbnwx85
Heard a rumble of thunder early this morning. Now, as the great Sophie B. Hawkins once said “It feels like spring time on this February morning.”
Chinook
2 hours ago, Brian D said: Blizzard for sure. 7.6" of wet, compacted, drifted snow imby so far. Winds 20-35 G up to 45 mph. Thundersnow last night with a band that went through. Vis 1-2 blocks. Conditions have been this way since around 11:30 pm last night. Early reports show 5-12" in the area, and we have to get through the day yet. The storm report says 66mph off the lake, there's got to be a blizzard with that, considering the snow. Superior Wisconsin airport has wind gusts to 53, which also is a high wind. Duluth, max wind gust of 61mph with 1/4 mile visibilty.

Superior Wisconsin airport has wind gusts to 53, which also is a high wind They get higher winds down there in DLH along Park Point, and up at the arpt more regularly. Wind funnels a bit in that narrower section of the Lake. Here in town, they are not that high, although, if there were an anemometer down at Burlington Bay here in town, probably would get similar readings. BTW, just heard that Hwy 61 along the entire shore has been closed all morning. Whiteout conditions.
Brian D
Snow has lessened some from +SN to SN, but wind gusts have increased again up to 45. Vis has improved, except on the stronger gusts. EDIT: another wave of +SN moves in to bring whiteout conditions.

hawkeye_wx
12z Euro has a potent snow event for a few Thursday night. I could see some flakes if it tracks far enough southeast.
OrdIowPitMsp
Dumping here. Airport and home are riding the northern edge but it looks like we’ll squeeze a few inches outta this. Bye bye grass tips and dog poo.

Brian D
14.7" imby as of 3 pm. -SN with decreasing winds atm. Still could be few inches more later, but we shall see how things evolve. Shouldn't be a lot more.
