I'd def take your location on the hill over mine. 1k to 1k I bet there isn't much diff. Our latitude helps in swfes and maybe we catch the stray streamer but we also get subsidence here more often and are further away from the moisture in ocean storms. Yeah the west slope gets probably on averages a solid 8-10” less per year than equivalent elevation on the east slope of ORH hills. The events you clean up really good in are those westerly component flow events at the sfc. They just aren’t super common. The SWFEs are always fun for most since they remove a lot of the orographic effects and it’s usually just latitude/longitude.

It’s exhausting trying to walk around the city with the snow everywhere. It was amazing to experience history, but the aftermath is not nearly as glamorous. I’d be happy if it somehow snowed at that snowman guy’s house up north and not down here next week. Let him have the extra foot and a half. The intangible for me is the lack of qpf. Until last Friday/Saturday there wasn’t much meat in the pack.

GFS back south for Thursday/Friday, but has brought back a more tangible low. Probably gone but kind of interesting to watch with a casual eye. This one really trended to nothing lol. Seems like the main variable is how much energy comes out of the southwest and when but Tuesday looks interesting.

Next week sure does look interesting. Then we'll probably have some fake spring and an arctic blast near the end of the month. Of course then in April we risk Fenway Park weather
