I also don’t think the long range pattern is conducive to sustained periods of warmth in the spring.

I know you want a dry spring but speaking as a member of my village’s water district board, I want qpf. I’d like it in the form of snow to add to a relatively dry pack but if it’s raining in spring, we’ll just have  to do that. Whatever it takes to keep our water levels up.

Yeah, I get it.  My drought fantasies are just selfish indulgence. We are definitely in a region wide QPF deficit.

Doesn’t bode well for spring probably. We typically don’t stein for too long around here so you know the cutoffs and 38F rain are just waiting to torture us for weeks once we hit April.
