Still had the same output through 12z Monday as did the 18z run. Also, not sure what the Weymouth total was but I was 22”. I think he beats that. I know my solid weather memories go back to around age 11. For example I remember PDII far better than March 2001. I've also seen many younger guys say they can't remember big weather events very well before 10-12.

HoarfrostHubb
My first vague weather memory was Hot Saturday. next was May 1977. Then the ‘78 blizzard of course. I think I somewhat remember Hurricane Belle (1976)
Typhoon Tip
Incredible Is 0ZNAM has even higher QPF That’s 6 consecutive model cycles in a row with the QPF growing on every run I’ve seen Never seen that Not sure what it means but… Probably a lot of fuckin snow I’m guessin 1.7 for Logan At 17 to 1 ratio that’s about 26 inches of snow. Probably approaching hypostatic balance before it can that tall; being that fluffy or snow collapses in on itself at a lower weight … and I’m not sure why this font’s so big 1 7

I have faint memories of seeing snow in NYC in like 1994 (which of course was a big year), but the first storm I really remember as a distinct event was January 1996, but it's still a very faint memory. Vivid for me is anything from 2002 onwards.

I only have like 2 memory from that .One was walking around in the snow and jumping into a fluffy snowbank. And the other was and tunneling in a massive drift. I always take the under in these set-ups in extreme Southern New England. We're gonna have newfound respect for the NAM tomorrow night when it's plain rain in the fringes of our forecast area. I'm thinking 9 in Bristol and 5 to 6 here in Newport. These accumulation maps are grossly overdone for places like Newport, the outer cape and the islands. Doesn't have much bearing on 90% of the folks in this subforum but if people take the time to produce a snowfall map they should put a little thought into making it as accurate as possible. weathafella
I actually have the vaguest memory of my dad waking me up to see the heavy snow when I was under age 3. But my actual vivid memories start with the incredible month of March 1956.

And having confidence only accelerate into the event is pretty amazing. Did grocery shopping tonight... the empty store shelves are honestly kind of silly, but maybe people are anticipating supply chain disruptions down south? In any case, loading groceries to the car and feeling the unabashed piercing cold on the eve of a huge snowstorm... New England winter is back. Our hobby, with all its rewards, is back. I know Sunday afternoon I'll be bouncing back and forth like a kid who never outgrew the thrill, relishing in the 2 hobbies. For those of us who have been yearning for something good in either realm for the past 4 years... finally, it's here. Unless you’re in the 5% of winter where you have to be 3000 miles away AFTER WAITING 6 YEARS to see 15” of snow. Ya. So.
