Under banding as well and confirm it’s quite nice. Still feel a little nervous about hitting call of 3.9” but we’ll see how things evolve overnight.

This banding has stuck around a while and longer than I anticipated. Nice change after pixie dust all afternoon.

Its snowing here 7 hours ahead of schedule and already down to 2SM at DTW, under 5dBZ radar returns. I smell an overperformer coming.

I can't recall last time we had a storm system the size of this one approaching with temps near zero

Approaching 3” here on the northern fringes. CAMs suggest possibly 3-5” left in the tank. Often performative and too aggressive, but cutting in half still results in a respectful 4-5” storm total. Became a bit too pessimistic given endless sawdust.

About 4" OTG in west Cincinnati.  Kind of an odd snow - fine, small flakes, but with a higher water content than I usually associate with small flakes.  It's 11F, but the snow is more like that I'd associate with 26-28F. Steady, moderate snow.

Gett’n buried
radar looks juiced

Yep! Looks like about 6-7” here already and absolutely hammering right now. Hrrr and RAP indicating this thing doesn’t push out until at least 7pm and dropping another 10”+. Back to bed for a few!

Still light and fine snowflakes here closing in on 1" as of 630. Better radar returns are starting to head this way. Not expecting to see heavy snow rates here but would appreciate if the snow rate would pick up just a little bit.

Good to see the CBus crew getting wrecked.

You'll be disappointed to know, there was no ice storm here.

Granted, roads are stilll trecherous enough. But not only was there virtually no freezing rain after the changeover from plain rain, but even the sleet amounts ended up underachieving.

Now it's dry slot city.
