Still feel a little nervous about hitting call of 3.9” but we’ll see how things evolve overnight. This banding has stuck around a while and longer than I anticipated. Nice change after pixie dust all afternoon.

pen_artist
About 7.5 miles away directly west of the lake in northern Oak Park. Like where I sit to hopefully get a couple inches out of this.

I smell an overperformer coming. I can't recall last time we had a storm system the size of this one approaching with temps near zero

andyhb
Looks like Ohio’s biggest storm in quite awhile. Notable banding setting up initially north of Cincinnati right now extending all the way back through S IN and IL.
Chicago Storm
The multiple meso-lows of earlier tonight have sort of morphed into a main one now, which is attempting to back towards MKE.

KeenerWx
Approaching 3” here on the northern fringes. CAMs suggest possibly 3-5” left in the tank. Often performative and too aggressive, but cutting in half still results in a respectful 4-5” storm total. Became a bit too pessimistic given endless sawdust.
andyhb
That band from S IL through S IN into SW OH between Cincinnati and Dayton is a monster, spreading NE towards Columbus too.
