When I checked at 12, I had 0.64" (based on weight). Definitely a tough event to get an accurate SWE.

You've been discounting the sleet since this all started and guess what, it's going to sleet.  I think there's only one poster who said this wouldn't be a significant storm for NYC.  Great storm for all and an even better storm inland and up in New England.

This seems pretty spot on to where the mix line is now. This is rrfs at 18z. Maybe a bit overdone on the jersey shore

The nam had the sleet line just south of LI by around this time I think? Don posted the stats showing it overdoes the warm layer and under does the cold layer

Suspect we'll teeter between mix / snow - sleet before becoming mainly sleet here in the next hour.  Vrery good overrunning performance.

According to models, the mix line should begin stalling where it is now for the next few hours. Let us see if this verifies.

I’m in Monroe too (Kind of central Monroe, by route 522).  Pretty much all sleet here now.  Can’t complain, even if this is it for the snow.

Most of the models have the sleet line hitting a brick wall about when it gets to the CT shore, i hope to kick it in it's ass back over long island sound when it gets here.

Maybe hitting a few snags again-it’s headed more N than NE which some models hinted at-that it would charge N through NJ before coming NE into the city and LI. It’s absolutely dumping now so however long we can keep this going would be awesome.

Yeah sleet is increasing and now mainly sleet - right down the road from you closer to Jamesburg
