It's a testament to the wedge how the column. Is slowly moistening but the dewpoint dropping.

Noticing that here as well. We’re getting moderate to heavy sleet but my dew has actually ticked down.

An entire Army of them at "Walnut creek"

Duke has 18K workers from 27 states and Canada ready to go. The good news is they can pull from outside the Carolinas (IN/OH,FL) where they have territory where the winter storm is not slated to be as destructive to the grid.

Sleeping? Will any of us sleep tonight? :D

I’ve got my own storm INSIDE THE HOUSE. We had to bring my elderly mother in law and special needs sister in law to our home. And the special needs has huge fear of animals. I’ve heard screams a dozen times already.

At my folks house taking care of them on the south side of Rabun county (Wiley). Just crossed the freezing mark at the surface and steadily dropping. Only the brighter returns are making it to the ground for now, but unfortunately all liquid. Afraid this one is gonna be really rough here...

Good early evening from DFW.

We have had mostly sleet.  Still maybe only an inch or but enough to not want to try going anywhere.

NWS and the TX forum suggest heaviest is still yet to come.

I hope you are all okay when it’s over.

Check in again later.
