Yeah, there was noticeably more snow in Goshen, about 2" here while 1" at home 45 mins ago.

Considering NWS was expecting 1 inch of accumulation, this will be impossible as temps are warming up already. Quite the fail by most models that expected any form of accumulation in NYC. I think they don’t truly factor in the urban heat island to the fullest extent. Always have to tack on a few extra degrees which naturally cuts down totals. Marginal events like these probably would have produced a few inches a few decades ago but now it’s too warm. We need the big ones for serious accumulation

As of 8 am, it's snowing moderately with 0.5" on the ground and it's 33F, but still accumulating with decent rates, even on the driveway and sidewalks - not as much on the roads in front of the house.

The snow is finished with Central Park. My guess is that the final figure will be a trace and, at most 0.1". We'll see.  Above freezing temperatures + light precipitation rates + limited time before midlevel warming changes the precipitation is a bad combination. It's no accident that nearly three-quarters of snow events with above freezing temperatures produce trace amounts and more than 90% produce < 1".

Some large flakes in Larchmont, NY. The snow is melting about as fast as it is falling. Very little is accumulating.

Very light covering in Garwood (central Union County NJ) except the streets are mainly wet.  Precip changed to a very light snain, but as intensity has increased, it has changed back to all snow.

30.9° with a heavy band coming through now. Officially 1.8 inches on the snow board at 8:30.

10.2 inches for the season. Today will now mark 18 days with snow cover for the month. It's been a very good December so far.

Same here in Highland Mills, at least one inch per hour rates right now. Hope it lasts, over 2 inches now.

Some of my old stomping grounds.  That garden center (family owned) has stood the test of time.  All of the others in the area sold out to developers.  I suppose this one will as well at some point.  Great place and nice people.
