usually these kinds of slips (called expressive errors or paraphasias in writing/typing) happen when the brain is translating thoughts into language faster than the fingers can keep up, annd relying heavily on muscle memory and autopilot. When typing quickly without full attention, the mind races ahead, leading to omitted words, wrong similar-sounding words, or incomplete ones.  A lot of people ask me about this, and happens   moreso during acute stress or anxious periods.

Interesting stuff! Makes alot of sense

When I was at WestConn, one semester during my broadcasting class I had made a snow map for a potential storm we were getting (I don't remember the year). But I had text saying, totals could shift depending on track...but I wrote shit and didn't catch it until we reviewed the video in class.

Actually a very apt disclaimer for these past several years.

...or when they have 4 little kids and are desperately trying to complete a 36 page winter outlook

I would definitely watch for some low topped convection to evolve this afternoon and move across Rhode Island and interior southeast Mass. Wouldn't even rule out the potential for a very brief tornado. You can see some convection developing south of Long Island now. We get any convection with thunder/lightning and we may see some 70-75 mph gusts (not widespread but very localized).

Hilarious. When I lived in Boston, I saw someone down in Hamden post a picture of beautiful mammatus. My mom shares my interest in weather, so I texted her “Hey, I hear you have great mammatus” and sent it out, not realizing it had autocorrected to “Hey, I hear you have great mammaries.” Whoops.

Squall line was legit up here. Had some big gusts right on the edge of the front and then sheets of rain. I learned I'm fairly protected from westerly/southerly winds by the wooded area in the backyard but KSLK gusted to 61.

The pack barely hung on. Temperature crashed immediately. Temp dropped from 50.8 to 40.3 in 30 minutes. Down to 34.5 now with snow.

Feels like a weaker 2023, also on a Friday, also our company Christmas party, also rain and wind. Pack is definitely taking a big bit on Dryslot land, hoping when I return home around 7pm I have a few inch pack left that will turn into a glacier tomorrow
