One thing that might help this snow compared to many other storms is when we have to wait for the cold to bleed in before precip.

For some reason I am enthused seeing the euro.  I adopted a new stance to wait until inside 84 hours vice 384hrs for enthusiasm ops.

For once, the trend is our friend. But when you think about it, it's looking like a typical north trend. Hopefully, 48hrs isn't enough time for too much.

Of course, now that I said that, it'll shift south at 12z!

Looking at a blend of GFS, Euro, NAM, CMC, Euro AI, ICON you get temps like 26-31 for DC metro area.  That is a great sign IMO.  We do best when we're not waiting for dynamic cooling.  I like a good entrenched cold air mass.

A freezing or sub freezing high temp for DCA would be incredibly impressive. That’s like a -20F departure or more.

Let's close the thread now so the storm thinks we gave up on it.  Then we open it back up for the NAM.  Then close it until the euro.  Then open it for the HH gfs.  The storm will never know what's coming.

This is the way.  As i keep saying, this is house money.  2” would be fantastic and a mood booster around here.  I just want a steady consistency in the models and fun tracking right now.

Lol’d for real.  We actually tried that with like 2 storms. We’d make a thread and shit would fall apart.  Then a new thread and it trended in our favor.  Then people started believing that worked.   Fun times
