ChescoWx
Quite the spread in low temperatures across the area this morning. While many lower spots like Warwick Township saw temperatures in the mid 40’s (44.2) other ridge locations like down in West Grove almost stayed above 60 degrees (59.7) Today could be one of our last days until next spring to see temperature approach the 80-degree mark. We cool a few degrees tomorrow and then with some needed rain and a cold front passage on Tuesday night we will see temperatures on Wednesday remaining in the 60’s and by Thursday some spots may barely escape from the 50’s for high temperatures. Low temperatures by Friday morning should be in the 30’s for much of the area with even a touch of frost for some of typically colder valley locations. Rainfall amounts by Wednesday morning could be between 0.50” and 1.00”

I'm really craving a tropical or coastal system. Doesn't have to be a Sandy, but just something with wind, rain, and low level clouds ripping at 60 knots. October typically has that long duration slow moving rain system where it is windy, and miserable for a few days. Not necessarily a tropical system, more of a noreaster hybrid... That being said. The 6z runs are showing it for late next weekend.

Getting married outside in Philly on Sunday so watching this closely. There probably hasn't been a coastal system that broke through the ridge and made it this far north since we started planning the wedding ~15 months ago, would be remarkably bad timing for it to happen this weekend but the models do hint at the ridge drifting east and weakening for a couple days allowing the low to come up the coast and then sort of hang out for a few days as the ridge tries to build back

The 12z runs completely diverged on this idea of a coastal storm next week think we need a few days to iron this one out. I am not sure what the NAO is showing for next week cannot see it on the NWS website (government shutdown maybe?) Looks like the models are trying to trend toward blocking the storm from coming up the coast albeit it only one set of models runs except the 12z gfs so wait and see time. That’s awesome! second of all, every anniversary, my wife likes to remind me that the only time in the last 12 years that it rained on our wedding date was our actual wedding day. It rains, it rains. You’ll figure it out and enjoy the moment regardless.
