Was being a taxi for the younger Ms J for her dog walking jobs. Got caught in that blob back about 20 min ago on the NW side of Frederick. Military Rd. right along Ft. Detrick was a pond. Got her back to her day sit and then looked at 15 and decided it was not worth it so took surface roads back home.

Oh wow happed to look outside and it is raining here. Quite the surprise I mean I saw that it was getting a bit darker out but that has happened so many times before I ignored it.

Only one clap of thunder here. It rained briefly, but no flush hits recently. Sun is popping back out, so maybe that’ll energize things with that trailing batch near Hagerstown.

I picked up 0.23” out of it. Yeah watching that batch up on the county line and NW Fred Co. Does not look to be moving much south.

Nope, now I’m out in Dt Frederick (friend is visiting). Sun is shining and hitting up Maxwell’s (the walk back to Baker is gonna be tough lol).

Except for the heat and humidity, it looks like a fall day here with people blowing and raking big piles of leaves.  Trees are very stressed in this severe drought

The weather was kinda weird today. Quite a few showers on the northwest side of the Catoctin’s, but they fizzled on approach. Ended up with a few rounds of light rain, but that was about it.

Two clear trends in the guidance:  1)  the timing of the storm chances for most is moving up from overnight Sunday to Sunday late afternoon / early evening    2) with northeast flow and clouds, Monday may not get to 80 degrees for most.   Could even end up well below 80.
