Looks quite threatening from near White Plains into ne NJ.

Here's a 5" report embedded within 4" near White Plains. I know NWS doesn't use these amounts but if you check the RadarScope STP...its AT LEAST 5" in that area near White Plains.  Just an example.

Click for. clarity on both graphics.

I'm probably off line til 830P.

I'm starting to think even more than that. I'm over 3 inches now, and the backbuilding on radar looks really bad. This could be 6 to 8 inches of rain. I hope not.

My sister texted me Holy shit.   She never says that. She's by lake nelson

Just southwest of me, according to radar scope is over 5.2”.

Oh my. I hate this. And I keep thinking it’s starting to move on, and it gets worse. A little over 2 inches here right now. A lot more lightning than before.

Are the storms moving on the line from Elizabeth/Staten Island towards the city drying up or just moving really really slowly?

Yeah it's filling in. Huge clap of thunder just now. Here we go in Manhattan...

Thankfully my husband just made it home before the road was completely impassible. We’re already flooded here in Carteret, including our garage. I cannot imagine what the next few hours will bring if this doesn’t let up…

Water is up to the houses on my street now. What incredibly bad luck to get hit by this kind of flooding just a week and a half after we got hit by one of the most severe t-storms ever. A couple houses on my street got crushed by big trees from that storm. Now major flooding. Horrible.
